7. Isn't this really a church/state separation issue?

the wall is meant to keep the State out of the Church as much as it is keeping the Church out of the State.
Where is the compelling State interest in telling a church, mosque, etc. what their security procedures can or can't be compared to, say, the local Lions Club?

AFAIC, the Christian spirit of peace vs the natural right of self defense are not mutually exclusive, unless you are a pacifist. Either way, that is for the Church to decide, not the State.
