Simple assaults never happened in San Fran prior to this? Dirty Harry a myth? or you living in a vacuum.
So what you think, you'd a shot these guys, Dirty Randy? shot someone for taking someone's cover off?
You think it's so simple that if you have a gun on you, you're gonna be safer, and not cause more problems than you would ever want?
You have kids? who might find your gun when you set it aside & misplace or forget it sometimes?
You might drop your gun in public, making a gunass of yourself at the least, sending people scattering to accidental discharge (both from your gun & in your pants as you realize what just happened). Then it's YOU needing to explain yourself to the cops.
Most ccw holders do not get involved in other people's altercations, since the circumstances are not plain to see - who is the bad guy & who is the good guy, and legal ramifications make it stupid to do so.

If we are not going to have a president or Justice Department that will not have our backs, it may be time to get our own backs and do something I swore I would never do. And that is to arm myself.
