(21,440 posts)that rights change. They may be abrogated or reasonably restricted for a greater benefit. Perhaps I am splitting hairs and we mean the same thing. I have been called pro-gun, along with other more derogatory terms, but I view myself as pro-rights. I view the RKBA as I do any other right. One which people should be allowed to exercise with the minimum necessary restriction. And, as with any other right, if a person abuses it they should face just punishment.
There is much injustice in what opportunities the average person is denied financially. We should seek to improve rather than worsen that fact.
I am pleasantly surprised when a conversation remains civil. Even if at the end the parties still disagree, it provides new perspective and food for thought. As a lifelong Democrat and Wellstone supporter I suppose I am a libtard as well.
