I'm not saying they shouldn't use the incredibly valuable sense of smell that dogs can provide, but there needs to be some balance and at least some concern for these wonderful animals who are just as much a "servicemember" as their human handlers. I worry that as the risk to humans is more and more eliminated, these dogs will become "expendable" lives. There has to be a risk balance in their use.
