Some people like MA plans because they can get most of the benefits of a supplement and drug plan, plus a little dental or eye coverage, for less than someone with traditional Medicare buying a supplement and separate drug plan.

But, other people don't like MA plans because you don't have access to any doctor, hospital, etc., that you might want. Some people believe these plans don't treat you as well when you get sick.

About 30% of Medicare beneficiaries choose Medicare Advantage Plans.

If one wants to save money and doesn't mind having to utilize a network or providers, it might be a way to save $100 - $200 a month.
