2. In some small ways, I do understand; and weep inside.

Bigotry is the privileged few (like the Trump's) knowing - deep down inside - they do not deserve speciality.

Hence, they think (errantly) the subjugation of others grants them a license to be special/privileged -as a right .

It is akin to Goliath thinking his squashing a midget, makes him a valiant warrior (or a Trump shooting an elephant under false pretense that the murder makes him a "man" )

In the 70s I went to Julia Richmond, when desegregation was enforced. My dad fought with me, to go to private school (Stuyvesant); but I knew my basketball skills would be wasted there.

My father believed (errantly) that my being the only white male at Richmond, would mean I would suffer.

I did not suffer, once, due to my race; because, in sports, all that mattered, was your ability to contribute; and I was the best point guard.

Though I've known fear of police, due to the nature of my family (being mob based), I'm sure those fears of police arrest, are not 1/10th the degree of - genuine vex - of being abused due to the color of one's skin.

It sucks!
