Can I get some recommendations for books for girls, ages 4-6?

I pulled up 'Christmas in the Big Woods' on Amazon and took a look inside choosing the surprise me choice.

All my grandchildren, both boys & girl LOVED everything Little House. Some had this series. Some had the original Little House series read to them. And some very much enjoyed the series on DVD along with their parents.

I would advise reading them in order by publishing date so the child can get to know the place & characters back story. Those little minds have a great memory.

I highly recommend this series. If you decide to try one of the books let me know if she liked it

edit to add: You couldn't get more girlie girl than my sparkle princess granddaughter and she loved these. It's worth a try. But maybe reading them to her at first, to pique her interest, might be the way to go.
