Looking for suggestions - my wife loves audio books. Is an Audible.com subscrip. a good gift idea? [View all]

She has an Android Nexus 7 and good speakers she can plug them into. She gets lots of audio books on CD from the library, but the selection is not great and quality even worse (scratched up, skipping).

Was thinking of getting her a 6 month subscription to see how she likes it....I know there are lots of free audiobook download sites, but selection seems a fraction of Audible.
