2. I've only read the first one myself.

I like it, but I have very deep-seated resistance to reading most series. Plus, I prefer science-fictional time travel, not romance time travel.

However, I saw Diana Gabaldon at Bubonicon last year. It's a science-fiction con, and she was very enthusiastically received. Plus, she's funny and smart, two very endearing qualities in my opinion.
