(124,143 posts)family. We listened to public radio all the time when I was a kid. I mean all the time. My parents were pretty quiet and we had the CBC on in the car, at the cottage and on both floors of the house the rest of the time. That got me interested in newspapers and other factual information. I could process and place history or science. I was a real information snob....judicious about where I got my information. And I still am that. I read novels and short stories too but was not so understanding of psychology that I could get much out of them till I was way into adulthood and started to grow psychologically. Today, I alternate between fact and fiction. I don't have a detailed mind....so I don't process all the themes all the time. But I love it.
