I lived in a tea house, with no electricity, in a hanging valley. I had to hike two hours down the mountain to catch a bus to the smaller towns on my days off. What a fool I was. I should have hiked on my days off. I loved it and the beauty and adventure but as a teen saw hiking itself as work, not pleasure.
