3. Dang! I remember that thread, and I read the whole thing...

but it seems like there were many different books mentioned, and I don't remember any of them. I'm so sorry, I wish I could help.

Still, don't give up. You know, the name of that book is probably going to just pop into your head at some unexpected moment. If it meant enough to you to want to read it, then the title IS rattling around in the dark recesses of your memory somewhere and it's just taking awhile to surface. Have faith!
