Mischling by Affinity Konar. At this point (82% completed), the narrative is very intense. It is between the main characters (12 yr. old twin sisters) and told in alternating chapters. I can't tell where this is going, but it is very real and very emotional. Excellent book. I highly recommend it.

I will def. seek something lighter for my next book.

This summer has turned out to be an extremely busy one as regards cat rescue. Kitten season is always brutal, but this summer is the worst I've seen in years. Don't know why, but it is.
