The restaurant becomes like the Alamo, surrounded by people who want to resolve the theft without involving police. A server wants to help the busboy out of motherly instincts. The Lead Cook is head strong, has a crush on the server and gets involved to try and impress her. The whole thing happens in one night. Keeps escalating. It's a hangout movie with humor and action.
Yeah..these are tumultuous times and I have been lying non-stop since 2011 because I can’t grasp the sleazy and lawless ways of Si Valley and the MiT Media Lab, no IRB and no informed consent and all the people you can trust looking as if it is a foul chore they got dragged into.
That motherly instincts towards that creep of a busboy is kinda funny.
When you see a collection of really stupid men and people enabling your first instinct is to get away and insulate yourself.
But when that fails repeatedly scripts like these that you know are lame and corny chestnuts take over your head as that must be how anyone daft enough.

It is shitty that so many such people ascend in society but top or bottom, I have no sympathy for such people. There are lots of people doing really badly and the vast majority are better than some scammer who thinks he is clever.
I thought the scammers -both the kind legitimized while having no contribution except theft and extortion from inside or outside- would manage to exploit the law and chaos.
But I think it is increasingly unlikely that either type will get away with it.
Take something like marijuana. That’s like prohibition. It will get legalized.
But stalking and harassment with corrupt tech cos never will and Elizabeth Holmes made the mistake of pulling her bs in an area where you get caught faster and now these idiots are headed the same way.
