5. Eberflus should be taking heat for this.

The Bears have fumbled twice this season: Velus Jones Jr. muffed a kick (no surprise there) and Caleb Williams was strip-sacked in one of his first games as a pro football player. This is not a team with problems hanging on to the ball. Also, coaching - and indeed, living - in fear will almost always result in losing.

It's pretty clear to me that Eberflus is gone after the season. He really should be fired now, but the Bears do not fire coaches in mid-season, no matter how much they may deserve it. He's pretty obviously not the guy who's going to make this team find ways to win. Right now they're finding ways to lose.

Look at the Lions. Dan Campbell has made some absolutely crazy in-game decisions, and they've cost his team wins. But he always believes in his team, and he's always willing to take a chance. His players believe in him, and they dig as deep as they have to. Dan Campbell is likely going to win the Super Bowl come February, and the Bears will be looking for a new head coach... again.
