Creating a contained but collapsing pocket without blitzing is the first choice of any Defensive Coordinator.

But it only works if the DL beats the OL in the individual matchups. If they don’t, then you end up with a perfect pocket for a QB to sit in and pick you apart.

Philly lined up in a pretty straightforward defense all night but just dominated at the personal one-on-one level.
