1. There has been a lot of Neanderthal research coming out lately.

I don't know what it means for genes to be near one another in a chromosome. I would certainly halt at any notion that autism is a trait inherited from our ancient kissing cousins.

Here is an article that came out yesterday on the Neanderthal heating and processing birch bark into tar to be used to make grips for flint tools and for sticking flint heads to spears and tools.
