You get use to it pretty quick. With traffic you know what to do. I had two problems. Driving without other cars around as a guide and corners could be a bit dangerous if your still thinking US. Leaving the airport in Shannon, big signs telling you...GO LEFT GO LEFT GO LEFT....
When you open your mouth and american spills out, someone will always ask if you are in ireland to find your "roots". I was unique to a few b/c I did not have any irish heritage and just came for a 'look see"...The place is dripping with history... Like I did not know that where was such a huge trade with Spain!!! Hundreds of years back and forth trade... Who'd of thunk??? I was told that's where the term "Black Irish" came from.. Inter marrage between dark haired dark skinned Spaniards and The irish...
SIM cards for you phone are really inexpensive.... like $25 for a bucket load of data. I used Google maps for Ireland and it was perfect...Better than my Gps...
