1. Never bought the idea that this hemisphere was 100% populated via Beringea.

People hunting fish, seals, and seaweed during the last Ice Age most likely island hopped their way here. There were a whole lot more islands to hop during the glacial maximum and skin boats are remarkably seaworthy.
