Hunter-gatherer roles in human society are not nearly as gendered as anthropologists and archaeologists have traditionally believed, with narratives of 'man the hunter' and 'woman the gatherer' crumbling in the face of new evidence.

High time for this to come out. We already knew women supplied 80% of the calories and now we know that includes proteins. It makes a lot of sense, "man the fearless and intrepid hunter" didn't come out of thin air, he had to be trained by his Mom.
