3. I often point out that government is not the problem...

And we do need government more than most people realize.

The problem is the snake oil salesmen that get into elective office because the 1 percent spends a fortune (chump change to them) in both political parties, to make sure the voters only vote for the 1 %ers hand picked cronies.

And you can bet the farm that their investment into the political system pays off very well; it's why their the 1 %.

They also make it prohibitively expensive for honest people who will rock the boat, and try to make changes that is beneficial to the majority.

And the only way to make government work for the honest majority, is to make drastic changes in how we choose our elected officials, and how we go about holding them accountable.

Until then, the majority of the population will be arguing over whether it's better to be hung with a blue rope or a red rope.
