I had a roadside stand stocked with hand crafted items... also baked goods and soups (I had a licensed kitchen). There were no prices on the goods, merely a sign:

"All products by donation,
if you want something and you can afford it, pay as much as you can....
if you want something and can't afford it, pay whatever you can."

I kept a notebook in the stand for people to write what they bought and any comments, one of the last notes when I announced that it would be closing was:

"Thank you for feeding my family"

I sense that here on DU people pay as much as they can and whatever they can
