During Trump's first reign our foreign assets (actual people) began disappearing. One, notably was rescued right before he would have disappeared.
We know that in Trump's first reign he provided MBS with a list of his enemies which allowed MBS to cut off their heads or exile them and ensure that he became the ruler of Saudi Arabia. Trump's part in the Kashoggi murder by MBS also endured him forever with MBS.
Also, during Trump's first reign he stole hundreds of top secret classified documents and Garland's farewell speech indicates that we will never know why he stole them and if he returned all of them. Based on Trump's quid pro quo life one can assume that Trump profited from his theft of classified documents.
What is my point: is this the end of having foreign assets in enemy countries? Under Trump's reign will we now have foreign assets in our ally's countries? Putin would be keen to know what the leaders of Germany, France, Poland, and others are up to.
Garland said his goodbye, but many of his accomplishments will be wiped out by Trump's 2nd reign. Garland said goodbye and stated the hope that the justice department will not be used for political purposes, has he been asleep for the past year?
The theft of our country's most secret documents by a mentally ill man who was allowed to get away with it, is astounding.
I am done with Merrick Garland, historians will take over. I wish Merrick Garland a long happy life and don't worry, Trump isn't going to come after you, that I am sure of. You may get subpoenaed by Gym Jordan or James Comer, but that is a badge of honor.
Case closed for me.
As Thom Hartmann said yesterday, the US is an oligarchy, and oligarchies are not permanent, they are a transition. There will come a time in the future when the American people will be confronted with a choice, just like happened in the fall of the Roman Empire, either throw out the billionaires or become a country like Russia or Hungary.
