I know this because I survived a cardiac arrest, a induced coma, pneumonia and sepsis. Dr said I had a 1 in 10 chance of surviving. This was 2 yrs ago on my birthday. I recovered after a long stay in the hospital and extended care facility and intensive physical therapy. The ran test to check the extent of brain damage. A cardiac arrest is a brain injury. Oh, he isn't talking because he is intubated.
