and I had a chance to speak to my Rep - Pete Stark. At the time the vote purging involved mailing a postcard to the voter and if they did not return the postcard they were knocked off the roles. It was called "Caging". Rep. Pete Stark had never heard of it.The way it worked was if a "Joe Washington" was a convicted felon all "Joe Washingtons" in that state AND EVEN neighboring states would get these postcards. Florida was Ground Zero for this. This time they didn't even bother with the postcards.
