8. POW/MIA flags have been mandated on specific days at federal facilities since the 1990s

They are required to be flown by law on specific days at all federal facilities.

Nobody calls them "performative," though they are clearly performative political nonsense. There were no POWs keptin Vietnam after the designated release days, and the Vietnamese have worked diligently to assist in the recovery of war era MIAs.
