Theyll say the Republicans had the votes to get it done so they didnt want to alienate Trumpers, MAGAts, etc, when the next election comes around. The assume that no matter how bad they are, well support them simply for the D next to their name. Its easy to see that most of all they care about themselves. No profiles in courage here.
