Could you work in the cold conditions in meat packing factories? Could you survive picking strawberries from sun up to sundown , again in Florida or California? They do the jobs that few white people want or are even physically able to do. I spent 20 years running riding schools. The winters were brutal and the summers damn hot, and that was in Michigan. The thing was I could take breaks when I needed to and shut the whole thing down when the temperatures were too extreme. Those workers can’t. And Florida made a new law last year that forbid cities from requiring reasonable breaks and water. No, it’s not just the shitty wages.
