In our collective grief, no mention of those who died in Viet Nam on that day. We were horrified by the violence visited on our children at their school on that one day, while this was a condition of living for their children every day. Though that wasn't the story on the news, Kent State brought the tragedy of war home to us for a little while, and hopefully opened a few more eyes to the truth of what was happening. Every life lost is a tragedy. Until that's true, we will continue on killing each other. JUST SAY NO.
