Each of those news outlets have plenty of negative stories about the current Administration also. Do not think I'm not being sympathetic to your point or not as outraged as everyone else--I am. It's just that it gets really aggravating when time and time again our side gets right to the goal line and fumbles the ball in ways that allow the other team to stay in the game:
- I get it, but Hillary should never have had a private email server. That was stupid and even more stupidly handled.
- Fani Willis: seriously, you HAD to have an affair with someone you brought in on possibly the most consequential case of our lifetimes? Thanks!
- Joe, we had a great case against F-47 for classified documents, but no! You had some in your damn garage too?
- Hunter: thanks for looking super-grifty so the Rs could attack you and both-sides every bit of the Turnip family grift. Really helpful! Oh and, whatever happened with the laptop...nice move.
- Ruth Bader Ginsburg: We all loved you, but you were 81 in 2014 when a Democratic president and congress could have installed your replacement. We will live with this decision for a long time, and it undid so much of what you worked for your entire life for.
- How much mileage have conservatives gotten out of Hillary's "basket of deplorables" comment; or Biden's "the only garbage I see floating out there is [Trump's] supporters" comment. Those things just aren't helpful. Period.
- Merrick Garland: what were you doing?
- And there was a lot of talk from inside the campaign in 2020 that Joe would not run in 2024 and be a transitional president. I thought at the time that it was a great idea since he already showed a lot of signs of slowing down compared to past campaigns. A strong primary would have given Democrats a much better chance at winning in 2024.
It just gets exhausting to be on the other side of what you feel is just horrible people pushing horrible policies and constantly feel like blatant errors from your own side always leave the door wide open for them to keep on doing harm to America.
I hate the negative articles too, but in some ways it might be good for the party to own up to its mistakes and learn from them rather than to pretend everything is okay and it is all the fault of the press, the Rs, or the voters that didn't turn out.
