from an idiot Republican Governor named Sam Brownback. His "experiment" as he called it (0% tax rate on Corporations) came a inch from bankrupting the State of Kansas after three years. It was really that close.

As usual a Dem has to come in and clean up the shit mess. Democrat Governor Laura Kelly has done just that and more in her two terms. She along with Dems and some moderate Republicans got us back (killed the Brownback tax cut) on track with a budget surplus,a refund for seniors on their home property tax and cut the sales tax on food to zero % which was 7.5%. That alone saves us $700-$800 per year.

I hope she runs as a US Rep in 2026 and kicks rubber stamp Ron Estes the hell out of office.
