5. Hi Jilly in VA: My few experiences with the VA and Walter Reed AMC were not positive.

I went to the CSM of my activity and he immediately called his counterpart at WRAMC. A few days later a news story emerged about the terrible conditions at WRAMC.

PTSD and TBI are silent killers of our brave young men and women when they return home from combat. For the rest of my life my head turns at loud noises. Someone dropped a box of Hammermill paper on the floor ["THUD!!!"] and two other heads immediately turned towards it. "Well, now we know who deployed in this office," remarked one of the civilian analysts.

A few years ago, I was asked to lead a parade for Vets in a small town and I politely declined.

I also declined to address JROTC at a nearby HS.

The US military has produced enough victims and veterans.
